Customers reviews

I started a new job in Mesa and needed a good pair of work boots. On my way home to east Mesa, I stopped and searched for "boots near me". The closest store was JR's Shoes and Boots, with great reviews. I went there and am very glad I did. They have a great selection of boots, even for my size 10 EEEE wide feet. They are very knowledgeable and patient, and we went through several pairs until I found the right ones for me. I highly recommend JR's!

Been getting my boots here since 2000. Jay is a great guy and only wants to make sure you get the right boot. He takes the time to make sure they are the correct fit and are comfortable. Was in today for new boots and Jay was not there but his stand-in was just as good. Walked out with 2 pairs of boots one for me and one for an employee. I will always shop here!

JR's is jammed packed with floor-to-ceiling shelves full of boxes of work boots and shoes in every configuration of sizes and widths. The sitting area is small but how much room do you need to put on shoes? The motto is they won't sell you shoes without trying them on and they are serious about it. They want to be sure what you spend your money on is the correct shoe for you. The salesperson (sorry I forgot his name) was very knowledgeable about the stock and personable. We needed a pair of work boots in a women's size. Not having had any real luck anywhere we decided to try JR's. OMG. The choices were great and the needed wide width was no problem. Thank you JR's, you have a new customer for life!

Did you know that over time our feet change and manufacturers often change cuts and styles yearly? Even slight variations in cuttings can make the same size/style differ from shoe to shoe. We want you have the correct shoes before you leave.

“Jay’s #1 Rule” still applies  —

Customers MUST try on and walk around in all shoes and boots prior to purchase. We will NOT sell anyone footwear unless the shoes/boots are tried on first. It takes time to find the perfect shoes and Jay would rather lose a sale to gain a friend, instead of gaining a sale and lose a friend by selling you the wrong boots for your feet.
